“Don’t suffer in silence.”

“ You can't tell how someone feels just by looking at them or at their perfect life in social media. Only if in reality it could be”

Mental health affects young and old, male and female and individuals of every race, ethnic background, education level and income level. Having to go through mental health problems when you are just a teenager is not easy but trust me you ain't the only one.

But what are mental health and mental health problems?

Mental health refers to the well-being of an individual's psychological, emotional, and social state. It is an essential aspect of overall health and affects how people think, feel, and behave. Mental Health problems are difficult experiences that make it harder for us to get on with our lives.

The Importance of Prioritizing Mental Health

Mental health is a crucial aspect of our overall well-being. It impacts our thoughts, emotions, and actions, and it shapes our interactions with the world. Despite this, mental health is frequently disregarded or stigmatized, and people often don't prioritize it in the same way they do physical health. However, maintaining good mental health is just as essential as taking care of our physical health.

Cause of Mental health problem

Mental health problems can arise due to various factors, such as genetics, environment, or lifestyle-related issues. Other causes can include childhood trauma, loneliness, and long-term stress, to name a few. There are many other possible causes as well.

Warning Signs !!!!

Sometimes it can be difficult to differentiate between typical behaviour and mental health problems. Although each mental health condition has its symptoms, there are a few common ones:

  • Feeling sad or down

  • Confused thinking or reduced ability to concentrate

  • Excessive fears or worries, or extreme feelings of guilt

  • Extreme mood changes of highs and lows

  • Significant tiredness, low energy or problems sleeping

  • Detachment from reality (delusions), paranoia or hallucinations

  • Inability to cope with daily problems or stress

"When you are so close to having a mental breakdown urging you to cry, but you have to go out and talk to people when all you needed was a little space.”

It’s okay not to be okay

  • Getting bad grades, failure is not the end of your life. Instead, it is an opportunity to stand up do better and rise higher than before.

  • Sometimes, it's okay to take a break from everything. Doing what you love can help improve your mental health.

Prioritizing Mental Health in Daily Life

To prioritize our mental health, we must make it a part of our daily routine. This includes taking time for self-care activities such as yoga, meditation, or journaling. We also need to seek help when necessary, whether it be through therapy, support groups, or medication.

Seeking for help

It is essential to seek professional help if you experience symptoms of mental health problems. Mental health professionals, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and counsellors, can provide support, and treatment options. Usually many don't like to share the bad side of how they feel. Speak and talk about the problems to whom you trust

“Thoughts may swarm around you leading to more difficult to cope with.”

Conclusion

Taking care of our mental health is just as important as taking care of our physical health. By prioritizing mental health in our daily lives and seeking help when we need it, we can improve our overall well-being and live happier, healthier lives. If you're looking for ways to improve your mental health, consider incorporating yoga into your self-care routine.
